AFL Proposed to setup state-of-the-art fully automatic LPG Import / Export (IE) Terminal & Bottling Plant at Haldia, WB with installed movement capacity of 600
thousand tonnes per annum with provision to scale up the capacity to 1200 thousand tonnes per annum to meet future demand. The Proposed IE Terminal on NW-1, where
the land approx. 45 acres has been identified, will meet the LPG demand of not only U.P., Bihar, W.B., Jharkhand, Orissa but also the neighboring States in the radius of
1000 Kms. Like Delhi – NCR, Uttarakhand, M.P., HP, Chhatishgarh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab & J & K etc.
With the intelligent use of mid-size sea to river vessels(Barge) sailing through National Waterways, we can bring down the transportation cost with a significant impact adding
value to overall price of the LPG. Proposed ground-breaking idea of using of mid-size sea to river vessels(Barge) as a floating LPG storage facility to curb the land acquisition
problem & cost control measure The Proposed IE terminal will help to improve the availability of the product significantly in the Eastern, Central & Northern region. It also contributed to large savings for AFL in logistics costs by using Inland Traffic Operation through NW-1 (Haldia to Allahabad), besides eliminating road movement of LPG to a great extent in the eastern & Northern parts of the country, leading to significant decongestion and enhanced safety of the highways. The proposed terminal also will provide AFL scope to make inroads into the growing industrial LPG segment of Eastern, Central & Northern India, specially the automobile and sanitary-ware hubs located in and these regions. It has ambitious plans to garner the measure market share of industrial bulk segment in upcoming years. Proposed LPG Export  Import Terminal at Eastern part of India, specifically on the
bank of the River Ganga, which will have its own dedicated jetty facilities to drive the LPG sourcing  exclusively import  export. Proposed the implementation Logistical innovation on LPG transportation (smart green shipping) system with intelligent use of National Waterways -1 – River Ganga (Haldia to Allahabad) with mid-size sea to river vessels(Barge).
